At the heart of the necklace sits an extra-large dark green Huāqīng jade barrel bead, carved with flowing cloud motifs — a symbol of auspiciousness, elevation, and all-direction support. The scale and depth of this jade bead give the piece its unmistakable presence.
Anchoring the design are handcrafted 925 silver cloisonné plaques featuring the Four Guardian Beasts, representing protection in all directions and the power to travel safely through the world. The coin-shaped form echoes the ancient philosophy of “round outside, square within” — balance between softness and integrity.
Seven vintage twisted bone beads from the export era rest at the neckline, prized for their silky patina and warm, skin-friendly touch.
