This is a museum-grade vintage Baltic amber necklace, crafted from authentic old amber (老蜜蜡) originating from Bitterfeld, former East Germany — a historically significant region known for producing some of the most respected amber in Europe.

German amber holds a distinguished status among old amber collectors. This piece displays the classic characteristics sought after in true century-old amber:

a honey-rich colour, waxy translucence, and a dual glow — resinous warmth from within and a gem-like lustre on the surface.

Under direct sunlight, the beads reveal a brilliant orange-red radiance. In softer or shaded light, the colour deepens into a rich, concentrated orange-yellow, demonstrating the complex optical depth only found in well-aged amber.

The surface of each bead carries fine natural oxidation lines, subtle and even, serving as quiet evidence of time rather than wear. These are hallmarks of authenticity and age, not imperfections.
